For years I just washed my face with water. I never gave a skin care routine a thought — I was young, my skin was clear and I thought skin care was for people who had wrinkles. However, as I matured and my wrinkles started to appear and worsen, I decided it was time to get a proper skin care routine. It is daunting to have to decide what is actually going to work and what will be a complete waste of money. This industry is a multimillion dollar industry, everyone is trying to sell you something so I know it is really hard to decide what you need. Also everyone is different, you can have so many different types of skin so you need to figure out what skin type you have, most of you will know if you have sensitive, normal, oily or combination skin. You need to build your routine around this and pick products that will help you. I like to mix and match and find products that work for me.
So a basic routine:
To take the days dirt and makeup off, try and get a gentle formula that suits your skin.
Applied to the skin to reduce oiliness and improve its condition, while also removing the rest of the the dirt that the cleaner may leave behind.
After all that cleansing you will have cleared your pores but also lost some moisture in your skin so give it back with a fab moisturizer nut make sure it’s for your skin.
Like a moisturizer but it is one you can leave on over night so your skin can absorb all the vitamins and antioxidants so your wake up looking refreshed.
To reduce puffiness, protect the dedicate skin around your eye which is more prone to wrinkles and damage.
To be done once or twice a week to give your skin some proper TLC, to really hydrate your skin.
To be done once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells and helps your skin glow.
Protect your skin from sun damage to make all this worth while 🙂
