What is Morpheus8 Skin Tightening?

What is Morpheus8?

Skin Vitality Medical Clinic is the #1 Provider of Morpheus8, Botox®, CoolSculpting®, Juvederm®, PRP Hair Restoration, Sculptra®, EMSculpt® and Fraxel® in Canada and WE CAN OFFER YOU:

What is Morpheus8?

The Morpheus8 treatment uses a fractional Radiofrequency device that uses silicone-coated needles to lift and tighten the face, neck, and body. This innovative technology improves the elasticity and irregularities in the  soft tissue skin. At Skin Vitality our amazing team of professional and experienced nurses and doctors are offering Morpheus8 as a nonsurgical application for neck-lift, facelift, blepharoplasty, and brow-lift.

What are the benefits of Morpheus8?

The treatment benefits a wide range of skin concerns. It can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth out rough or uneven skin texture, reduce the size of large pores, treat hyperpigmentation and acne scarring, firm lax skin, help fade stretch marks, and even reduce some fat. Morpheus8 can be used anywhere on the body, including the abdomen or buttocks, though it has gained popularity for the use on the face, jawline, jowls, and neck.

For optimal results, you’ll need a series of up to three sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart.

Am I a good candidate for Morpheus 8?

Optimal candidates for Morpheus8 are those who are bothered by facial signs of aging such as mild jowls, sagging on the cheeks, neck or lower eyelids, facial lines, and small deposits of fat on the face and neck. Morpheus8 also manages acne scarring, stretch marks, and sun damage, including enlarged pores and uneven skin texture. Morpheus8 also works well on loose skin, stretch marks, and wrinkles on the body. If your skin has any of these concerns, please visit Skin Vitality Medical Clinic and request for a consultation with a medical consultant. They will determine if you are a good candidate for this treatment by physically assessing you and your needs and going through your medical history forms. You can also do a consultation virtually in the comfort of your home!

How is Morpheus8 treatment performed?

The Morpheus8 handpiece delivers 24 monopolar, silicone-coated electrode-probe like needles beneath the skin and into the superficial fat. A specific and proprietary pulse of radiofrequency electrical energy is then delivered, which coagulates (tightens) the subdermal adipose and, importantly, shortens the horizontal, oblique and vertical connections to the skin, the fibrous septal network (FSN).

This action of FSN contraction provides a significant tightening of the soft tissue, reducing overlying wrinkles, scars, irregular texture, pores and even stretch marks and acne scars. The silicone-coated needles protect the skin from any thermal injury. The electrical energy then flows up the needle along the FSN to the negatively charged triangular-shaped electrodes on the skin, that surround the probes-needles.

This delivers a non-ablative and significant direct heating of the dermis and epidermis, stimulating new collagen, elastin and ground substances, further tightening the soft tissue.

Morpheus8 SKIN TIGHTENING Before & After

What are the side effects of Morpheus 8?

There are always risks with any medical service, but the Morpheus8 treatment, with its high-tech internal thermal feedback and silicone-coated needles, make any substantial risks less than with other popular resurfacing lasers and devices. However, there is always the rare risk of:

  • Scars and pigment issues: These would be discussed at the time of your consultation and minimized with the parameters and settings unique to your skin.
  • Swelling: Any redness and swelling will subside after 5-7 days.
  • Bruising: Bruising after your treatment should be expected, though it will subside after 2-4 days.

What are the pros and cons of Morpheus 8?

Pros

  • Morpheus8 is a non-invasive procedure that’s suitable for all skin tones, with little to no risk of hyperpigmentation
  • Treatments can be performed on any body area, for a wide range of skin concerns.
  • Morpheus8 treatments are quick, non-invasive, and relatively painless (with the help of a topical numbing cream or local anesthesia)

Cons

  • It can take up to three months after your initial treatment series to see your full results (new collagen production takes time)
  • You’ll need yearly maintenance treatments to keep up noticeable results
  • In Morpheus8 reviews, some RealSelf members have noted unwanted side effects, including bumps, grid marks, and discoloration for about a week post-procedure. A few have experienced hyperpigmentation and scarring, which required additional treatments to resolve
  • It can be painful if your provider uses a higher setting on the device, so ask whether you’ll need just numbing cream or local anesthesia.

How long does the mORPHEUS8 procedure take?

The brow, upper lids, lower lids, face, and neck can be fully treated in under one hour. Because the Morpheus8 results in a significant remodeling and tightening of the deeper facial tissue as well as the skin, the results can last several years.

What should I expect Post Treatment? How long does it take for results to show?

With the single treatment Morpheus8 facelift, patients should expect to take 5 to 7 days off due to swelling and some minor redness. There is no significant crusting, weeping or oozing, as is common with intense ablative lasers.  Morpheus8 patients who opt for the more moderate energy, 3-treatment protocols should take one day off for each treatment. This is ideally suited for a Saturday intervention appointment.
