Avoiding Halloween Candy

It’s Halloween today, and the temptation to eat all of that candy your kids get can be very, very difficult to overcome. We know how hard it can be, which is why you might want to follow these tips to help keep those empty calories away. Your newly CoolSculpting-ed waistline will thank you for it.

1. Buy candy you don’t like.

If you don’t like it, you won’t have it. It’s as easy as that, right? When you’re at the store, pick the one that looks most unappealing to you. That may be gooey toffee that’ll stick to your teeth or super sour gummy worms – whatever it is, stock up on it!

2. Put it all away.

Don’t leave your candy in plain sight, accessible at all hours of the day. Keep it stored way at the back of the cupboard, where you won’t see it. Or maybe on top of the fridge where dust collects? Keep it somewhere where it’s hard to reach and troublesome to get to, so you’ll think twice before reaching for it.

3. Indulge, a wee bit.

If you can’t resist temptation, it’s okay to indulge in a bit, but within reason! Stick to one small piece of your favourite candy once a day or every other day. And let it linger in your mouth for as long as possible so you can enjoy every moment of it.

4. Think before you eat it.

Before you pop that candy into your mouth, think about it. Do you really need that candy wrecking your waistline? What are the benefits of eating it? How many empty calories will you be consuming, and how long is it going to take to burn it off ? Sit back and think about it, or you can take a little walk.
