Medical Grade Peels Offered at Skin Vitality
Medical grade chemical peels are clinical skin treatments designed to exfoliate dead skin cells, unclog pores, and accelerate skin cell turnover. These peels penetrate deeper than over-the-counter options, treating stubborn skin issues like:
- Acne and acne scars
- Hyperpigmentation and melasma
- Uneven tone and texture
- Fine lines and sun damage
- Enlarged pores and dullness
These professional facial peels use active ingredients like glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resorcinol — all backed by dermatological science.
Vivier Peel for Glowing Skin
The Vivier Peel contains key therapeutic ingredients to improve your complexion, giving it a healthy glow that you’ll be able to see instantly. It is also gentle enough to have the treatment done just days before a big event.
Here are the active ingredients:
- 10% Lactic Acid: helps improve moisture levels in overly sensitive or dry skin.
- 2% Salicylic Acid: helps ease acne, reduce oiliness, improve texture and ease post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation (PIH). Also encourages the removal of debris that can clog your pores and dull the upper layer of your skin.
- 14% Resorcinol: helps ease inflammation, redness and acne.
Benefits:
- Boosts the rate at which your cells regenerate, giving you smoother and softer skin.
- Clears out your pores, improving acne, blackheads and whiteheads.
- It acts as an anti-inflammatory, easing redness.
- It also softens tough skin, stimulates collagen production and leaves your skin looking cleaner and fresher.
- Skin is strengthened after just one treatment
- Moisturizes and heals your skin.
You’ll notice an improvement in your skin quality after just one session, but we recommend 3-6 treatments for the best results.
Glycolic Peel for Acne, Discoloration and Wrinkles
The Glycolic Peel, a type of chemical peel, is one of the most popular solutions for anyone who suffers from common skin conditions. These conditions, such as acne, wrinkles, age spots or uneven coloration and tone, can all be treated.
By taking advantage of the aesthetic properties of this peel, you can enjoy the benefits of youthful, healthy skin with even texture and coloration. It’s a gentle treatment that is helpful in restoring your complexion. Its application includes the resolution of skin problems like:
- Irregular pigmentation
- Sun or age spots
- Mild to moderate acne
- Superficial acne scarring
- Wrinkles, fine lines
Why It Works: Glycolic acid deeply exfoliates and retexturizes skin, making it a go-to choice for clients seeking a smooth, even complexion.

Peel Treatment Experieence
Sessions are quick — typically 30 minutes — and may be repeated every few weeks depending on your skin goals. Mild redness or flaking is normal, especially with stronger peels, but there’s little to no downtime.
Most patients see visible improvements after just one session, but a series of 3–6 chemical peel treatments is usually recommended for long-lasting results.
Learn How Medical Peels work
Our medical peels gently but effectively remove the outermost layer of damaged skin. This controlled exfoliation stimulates collagen production, reduces inflammation, and encourages fresh skin regeneration.
During your consultation, our team will assess your skin type and discuss your aesthetic goals to recommend the right peel depth: light, medium, or deep. You’ll also be asked about medical conditions or medications to ensure optimal safety and efficacy.
You should inform us if you:
Have a history of cold sores
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have keloid scarring or pigmentation disorders
Recently used acne medications like Accutane
This list is not complete. A full list will be discussed prior to the treatment so you can briefly go over your medical history.

The duration of Chemical Peel results depends on their strength. A light peel typically lasts 1-2 months, while a medium peel lasts 2-6 months. Skin Vitality provides both light and medium peels. The Vivier & Glycolic treatments deliver results for approximately 4 months.
In a light chemical peel, patients might experience mild stinging while the solution is applied. For a medium peel, stinging and burning sensations may occur for about 20 minutes. Skin is cooled and soothed with cool compresses and handheld fans.
Before the procedure, your nurse will cleanse your face, shield your hair, and cover your eyes. In a light chemical peel, a solution with glycolic or salicylic acid is applied, causing the skin to whiten. Then, a neutralizing wash removes the solution. For a medium peel, a solution containing trichloroacetic acid, sometimes with glycolic acid, is used. The skin whitens, and cool compresses are applied for soothing after a few minutes.
Results from light Medical Grade Peels will be noticeable once the skin has fully healed, generally within two to three weeks. Medium Medical Grade Peels will generally take longer and may take up to 16 weeks for results.
Medical Grade Peel treatments typically take between 15-90 minutes, depending on the strength of the peel. At Skin Vitality, Vivier peels can be performed as a quick 15-minute stand-alone peel, or as an extended Vivier professional facial protocol.
After a light chemical peel, expect mild redness, dryness, and irritation, which diminish with repeated treatments. Your doctor may apply a soothing ointment. You can usually wear makeup the next day if desired. Following a medium peel, anticipate redness, swelling, and stinging.
An ointment may be applied for comfort and to prevent dryness. Cosmetics can be used to conceal redness in 5-7 days. As swelling reduces, skin forms a crust and may darken. Healing takes 1-2 weeks, with possible lingering redness for up to four months.
While light and medium Medical Grade Peels deliver transformative results, it’s important to note that these effects aren’t permanent. As the strength of the Peel increases, so does the potency of the results achieved.
Light peels utilize gentle chemicals, targeting the outermost layer of skin. They’re perfect for addressing mild sun damage, acne scars, and aging signs. Recovery from a light chemical peel involves minimal restrictions, allowing patients to resume normal activities almost immediately.
Medium Chemical Peels are employed for moderate wrinkling, deeper acne scars, and discoloration. Sedation might be necessary for medium peels, with recovery ranging from several days to a few weeks as skin cells regenerate.
