Breathe For Better Weight Loss

A tip for those trying to lose weight to complement their CoolSculpting treatments:

When you exercise, you naturally breathe deeper to get more oxygen into your body. This oxygen helps your body create adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a chemical that is vital in the process of energy production at the cellular level, allowing your muscles to move. The more strenuous your work out, the more deeply you breathe and the harder your heart beats to deliver the oxygen to your entire body through the circulatory system.  The intake of oxygen by breathing enables you to maintain the intensity of your work out, thereby burning calories and reducing fat stores. That’s why breathing when you exercise is so important. It’s so important, as a matter of fact, that athletes even have more arteries and capillaries than people who aren’t athletes – up to twice as many!

The next time you work out, remember to breathe deeply through your nose, feeling like you’re taking in air right down into your abdomen. Your whole torso should as if it’s involved in the process. Exhale when you’re exerting the most amount of effort,  like when you’re lifting a weight up. Never hold your breath. Not only is it preventing you from getting the most out of your work out, it could also be dangerous because it can elevate blood pressure levels dangerously high.
