When you think of protein, you probably don’t think of vegetables. After all, the average vegetable only contains a measly one to five grams of protein per serving. That won’t do it for you if you’re on a high-protein diet to maintain your CoolSculpting results.

But wait – not all vegetables are protein-deficient!

The modest pea challenges your assumptions of vegetables. Just one cup of these green guys can contain up to 10 grams of protein (along with a load of glutamine, an acid that helps your muscles and digestion). Wow!

Here’s an easy recipe to amp up your pea intake.

Sweet Peas and Prosciutto

Ingredients
1⁄4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 oz prosciutto, roughly chopped
1 white onion, finely chopped
1 lb green peas (fresh or frozen)
Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions
1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
2. Cook prosciutto and onions until onions are soft and prosciutto begins to crisp (6–8 min).
3. Add peas and a splash of water. Cook for about 3 minutes, until hot.
4. Season with salt and pepper.
