A few years back wheatgrass was one of the most talked about wonder foods I thought I would revisit it, while it may not be the hot topic any more it’s benefits are still be the same.

The taste can be strong – it is an acquired taste.  I highly recommend that you start drinking a small amount – ¼ to ½ ounce mixed with a smoothie, or vegetable or fruit juice, and build up to 1 to 2 ounces.  Each person reacts differently to the introduction of such a potent brew.  Once your body adapts, you may even want to drink it “straight.”  Remember it is a detoxifier.

You can grow it or buy it or just go to a juice bar and get a shot of it. Drink your wheatgrass juice within 4 to 6 minutes after juicing to get the maximum benefit from the live enzymes.Consume only the juice from wheatgrass – not the whole plant. It works best in the morning on and empty stomach. However if you need a mid after noon bust it definitely the shot to reach for leave the espresso where it is. You can buy bags of it in planet organic starting at about $5 and you should get three to four shots out of that. It’s also available in a powder. I personally prefer fresh. Why don’t you try a shot a day for a week and see if you can feel the difference.
