Getting back into it

Still feeling a little out of it from the binging over the holidays? Even with the best skin care regimen, your complexion may not improve if you don’t do these things:

1.  Drink water

Now is not the time to skimp out on hydration. All that alcohol you probably consumed has left you dehydrated, and you need to replenish fluid levels. Make sure to drink about 2 litres of fresh water a day (for the average person).

2. Amp up your magnesium

Did you know that magnesium citrate can help ease a hangover? You can take it in powder form. Make sure to talk to your doctor before taking this, though.

3. Eat well.

Your body needs the right fuel to power through and recover from all of the festivities. Avoid greasy foods like the plague. Load up on fresh vegetables and fruit for a cleaner system.

4. Don’t wear too much makeup

Allow your skin to breathe through the day by minimizing the amount of makeup you layer on. A bit of BB cream, concealer and bronzer is enough.

5. Think happy thoughts

It’s 2017, and your perfect opportunity to start the new year right. You might feel a little out of it, but that doesn’t mean you can let negative thoughts overwhelm you. Think of all of the good things that are possible this year, and what you’ll be doing to make them happen!
