So in this case negative affirmations work well and if they do work then why won’t positive ones?

So when you’re about to make a bad decision; recite a positive affirmation to yourself. Remind yourself of your goal to be healthier. Doing so will tell your conscious and subconscious that you are aiming towards a healthier goal.
