How is the procedure?
The procedure takes place at the facilities of Skin Vitality Medical Clinic.
After rubbing the teeth with a Deep Cleaning Teeth Wipe, the gums and lip area may be coated with petroleum jelly prior to treatment (if the gums are sensitive). A mouthpiece is inserted into the mouth, then the Daylight 5K Light device is positioned directly up against the front of the mouthpiece. After 20 minutes, the mouthpiece is removed and the teeth are wiped again to remove any residue. The mouth is rinsed and that's it!
You'll be able to see the difference, as a Shade Guide measurement is taken before and after treatment.
How long does a treatment usually take?
Treatment takes anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes. It is relatively quick and easy.
How long do I have to wait before I see results?
Visible results may appear instantly. For more extensive stains, patients may require more than one treatment.
What are the ingredients in SpaWhite?
SpaWhite contains glycerin, water, carbamide peroxide, sodium hydroxide, aroma, EDTA, and BHT. The Oral Finishing Rinse includes water, myrrh, eucalyptus, rosemary, aloe vera, tea tree oil, peppermint and xylitol.
Is there any downtime?
No. You can expect to return to your normal routines immediately following treatment. However, for 24 hrs after treatment, patients are asked to avoid eating or drinking anything that would stain a white shirt.
How much improvement should I expect to see?
Most patients generally see an improvement of 2 - 6 shades on the Vident scale. Results depend on a patient's age, dental health, enamel thickness and personal or dietary habits.
