Toronto Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery
Generally, the signs of aging appear first and most prominently around the eyes. Puffiness, saggy skin, dark circles, wrinkles and under eye bags appear, making you look tired and worn out - but that's definitely not how you feel! Toronto cosmetic eyelid surgery can erase these signs of aging.
Toronto Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid surgery is technically referred to as blepharoplasty. The procedure involves the surgical removal of wrinkles, creases and bags around the eyes, as well as reduce the appearance of dark circles. Dr. Conor B. Turley at Skin Vitality will help you rejuvenate your appearance, improving the vibrance and youthfulness of your eyes. Blepharoplasty may be performed at the same time as other cosmetic surgical procedures, like a facelift.
Why Should You Get Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery?
No matter how old you are, you may be able to benefit from cosmetic eyelid surgery if you are generally healthy and dislike:
- the dark circles under your eyes
- the bags under your eyes
- the wrinkles and creases surrounding your eyelids
- the saggy skin around your eyes
- the overall puffiness
- the way your eyes look tired all the time
Dr. Turley, a Board Certified Reconstructive and Plastic Surgeon, can erase these concerns with his medical expertise.
The General Eyelid Surgery Procedure
Blepharoplasty generally takes anywhere from 1 - 3 hours, depending on the patient and their expected outcome. The procedure typically includes the placement of tiny incisions in the natural contours around the eyes. Each incision is situated in a discreet location, to leave the resulting scar barely visible. Dr. Turley will then remove any fatty tissue and tighten loose skin in the upper eyelids, then target the lower eyelids. Advanced techniques are applied to eliminate puffiness, remove overall sagginess and reduce the presence of dark circles. Non invasive rejuvenating methods, such as a BOTOX® injection, may also be used to achieve the best result. You'll learn all about the methods and techniques most suitable for you during your personalized pre-surgical consultation with our Medical Consultant and Dr. Turley.
Your Recovery Process
After your surgery, your eyes will be dressed and you'll need to get plenty of rest and limit your movement. Oral medication may be prescribed to alleviate discomfort. Follow your post-surgical care instructions to minimize the risk of potential complications.
GliSODin Pre/Post Formula Kit has been designed to help with the recovery process, maximizing your body's ability to heal so you can see the results faster. Read more about GliSODin Pre/Post Formula Kit here.
The results of blepharoplasty are long lasting. The procedure is designed to make you look more rested, more youthful, and as a result, you'll be happier with your appearance!
