1st Blog Entry

 

Thursday February 3, 2011

I dropped off the girls at school and made my way down to Yorkville. I was still expecting some kind of "punked" event to transpire.

 

I managed to get to the Skin Vitality Yorkville clinic, late. Not a very good first impression on my part. I was nonetheless warmly greeted by Lori and Chris. The offices are very cool and inviting. I filled in some paper work, and all my questions were answered by the Skin Vitality Team.

 

I proceeded to my trial of VelaShape. I meet with Angelica, who was very profession and explained the process in great detail. We then did a detailed consultation and proceeded with an initial trial of VelaShape. The VelaShape looks like a funky vacuum cleaner. The sensation is similar to a massage and suction at the same time. Some ultra violet light is also emitted. It was not at all uncomfortable, and I think it will actually be the most relaxing part of my treatment with Skin Vitality.

 

I was then introduced to Ester, who took me through the steps of the skin tightening program. Ester took a before picture, removed all my make-up and proceeded with a trial treatment. We decided to start with my eye area, as this is an area of concern for me. Ester explained each step as she went along. This really helped me relax and feel comfortable. Today, 24 hours later, I am already seeing a difference.

 

Finally, Lori and I sat down to discuss the next few steps in this journey. Lori explained that a plan of treatment would be drawn up and would include some of the procedure discussed along with the assistance of a nutritionist to ensure that I would gain the most benefit from the VelaShape Treatment.

 

WOW!!! I had a great initial consultation at Skin Vitality. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It was hard not to feel comfortable here.

Treatment # 2 Medical Grade Peel

March 31, 2011

 

I arrive at the Yorkville Clinic early. We proceed with the peel. This is a very easy procedure, with really no discomfort. Esther is great at explaining each step, which really does so much to make me feel more comfortable with the procedure.

Treatment # 3 Fotofacial and Skin Tightening April 12, 2011

 

Off to the Yorkville Clinic this morning. Once again, Esther was great at explaining the procedure. I tell Esther that I did see much difference in my skin with the peel, specifically I did not experience the "shedding" I was expecting. She explained that she used a relatively mild peel and that she would try a stronger one next time. Again she explains each step and makes me feel quite comfortable. The procedure is only mildly uncomfortable. She explains the importance of sunscreen. She applies this great mineral powder, and my skin looks great. I must remember to get some on my next visit.

May 11th

 

On Friday I went into the Yorkville Clinic for my Fraxel Treatment with Gail. Five days later, all I can say is that Fraxel ROCKS.

 

Gail is one of those technicians who knows her stuff so thoroughly, that I had no concerns about letting her work on my face. She explained everything that was going to be done, and provided me with a written list of post care instructions.

 

I left the clinic as red as a tomato, definitely not a lunch time treatment. I woke up the next morning somewhat swollen around the eyes and a little tanned.

 

Today, five days later, my skin looks "relaxed", some of the scars on my face are visibly diminished and I see less darkness around my eyes.

 

This is one of the treatments I will be having done again on a regular basis.

5th Blog Entry

 

September 7th

 

 

It has been almost 3 months since my last treatment. I feel great, and look very natural. I felt I looked tired before my makeover, now I look the same way I feel, rested and positive.

 

My makeover has helped in my daily routines. I don't fret anymore with concealer, thanks to Lori's skillful touch with the needle!!!!!

 

I have bumped into many people who notice something is different, but can't put their finger on it. Many think I have lost weight, which I guess is my next big project!!!

 

I had so much fun and really enjoyed meeting the Skin Vitality Team. It was a huge thrill for me to work with David Clemmer and his amazing team of artists.

 

I had a great time at the photo shoot and really enjoyed working with Dean, another fantastic artist that Chirs Binet was able to assemble for this amazing journey.

 

My heartfelt thanks go out to Chris Binet for his kindness and sense of fun he demonstrated at every stage of this journey.

 

I would love to be able to maintain what this great team has started and hope to see many of then again.
