1st Blog Entry

 

On March 7/11 I had my first FotoFacial RF Pro® & Skin Tightening on my face. The FotoFacial was a little more painful around the eyes which of course is a very tender part anyway but, nothing I can't handle. The skin tightening is hotter than the previous. I also had a Vela Shape treatment on my thighs and lower buttocks to treat the. I am a thin person but, just can't get rid of those saddle bags I spend a lot of time in the summer at Grand Bend and feel embarrassed in a bathing suit.

 

 

Jennifer did all the treatments and was very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. I enjoyed talking with her while she worked on me. Every time I have been into the Kitchener store all the girls are very nice and professional. My VelaShape treatments are all booked weekly and will be completed by the end of April. I can't wait to see the results of all of this.

Yesterday I had a medical peel on my face, done by Dragana. She was very nice and kept checking by asking if I was okay. She is gentle and very calm explaining what to expect from my treatment in the next couple of days. I also had my 3rd VelaShape done by Casandra and what a little sweetie she is.

April 4th 2011

 

Yesterday I had my 2nd Foto Facial & Skin tightening treatments with Dragana. She was very gentle and calming. It was much longer and and very different than the 1st treatment I had with a different technician. While doing the skin tightening she went over my face many times. My skin looks and feels much smoother. I also had my 5th VelaShape with Kim who is very nice. She too was very thorough in that she did the treatment up & down with cross over.

 

Last night I was given a manual on Vela which a dietician who called me last week asked about and said that her part was included in the Vela package. I also am using a dry brush to help with circulation of my legs. I am looking forward to seeing what the end results will be.

April 19th 2011

 

Tonight I had a medical peel on my face with Jennifer, she is a very nice girl. I could feel the preparation burning so I'm sure this time I'm going to peel. My face is a little red and I'm looking forward to seeing a new glowing face in a few days. I also had my 7th Vela with Casandra, she is such a little ray of sunshine, truly an asset to the Skin Vitality team in Kitchener.

 

I also received the SkinTX skin care. I will start using their products tomorrow. Thank you so much.

May 3rd

 

Yesterday I had my 3rd Foto Facial and Skin Tightening with Dragana. Again she was very gentle and calm making the treatments relaxing. I spoke with her about the SkinTX Hyperpigmentation products I am using and how my face is breaking out and she assured me that in a week or so it will all clear up. She had the same problem when she first started using it.

May 9th

Just to update you on my Soft Lift that was booked for Friday in Kitchener. After meeting with Sara she was unsure as to how many units she could use on my face so, she called Toronto and we waited for an answer. It was decided that I would get better results if they used the filler. On Saturday off to Mississauga my Husband and I went. I had a consult with the doctor, and then Lori Pollock did the Soft Lift. It was a lot of injections and I felt very confident with Lori as she has had many years of experience. She is a very positive person and made me feel good about the future results.

 

After the injections I felt nauseous with a bad headache. The next day I had a little bruising and swelling so, I am taking it easy at home for a couple of days.

June 7

Yesterday I had the Fraxel done with Gail who is just so kind.  First she put the numbing cream on and waited one hour before starting.  The procedure itself wasn’t uncomfortable except for the sides of my forehead.  My face was completely frozen and only took about half an hour.

 

After I looked like I had a bad sunburn and my face was feeling very tight and a bit sore.  I took Gail’s advice and iced my eyes last night.

 

Today my face and eyes are very swollen so I am going to ice again. 

 

As far as the results from the Soft Lift 4 weeks ago Gail said I looked lovely and she wouldn’t have known that I had that procedure as I looked very natural.  My Daughter told me on the weekend that I looked beautiful.  I definitely see a difference in the shape of my face, I have cheeks again.

Just to update you on my Fraxel treatment, the swelling has gone down. I guess I had a lot of bad in me that had to come out.  I’m so excited for my results I know they are going to be amazing!

I recently went to get my hair cut and coloured by Michelle Thompson who recently opened Primped Hair Studio at 8 Beaconsfield Ave. Toronto.

 

Michelle is a fun and upbeat person who is a true artist in her field. She recently did my make over hair do and I was amazed at how in 2 hours she coloured, highlighted, cut and styled my hair. 

 

While she worked I couldn’t help thinking about the movie Edward Scissor Hands. She is very passionate about what she does. Her brand new studio is eclectic and funky with a personality of its own.  Wish I lived closer cause Michelle would be my forever hair stylist.

September 12

 

Before my make over I looked worn out & now I do look 10 years younger. I did go see Dr. Kara in Scarborough as Veronica had given me lots of info on breast augmentation. I was going to have surgery in early June but, it was too close to the photoshoot. I cancelled & had surgery 4 weeks ago & between Skin Vitality & Dr. Kara I do feel beautiful.

 

Since all of this I am much more confident, have a more positive attitude as I was feeling negative about myself before all the physical changes. I am also making changes in my life & the path that I want to take. That is huge for me as I have always been there waiting & serving everyone in my family. Like I said when I applied for the make over contest, "it is time for ME now" & I have had to make some choices which at first felt very selfish to me but, I know that I had to find my happy place too.

 

As far as people meeting me for the 1st time, most do think I am 10 yrs. younger & more. People defnitely notice me & a big part of that is the confidence that I exude. I have become a social butterfly & am free & happy. I definately feel younger & would do it all again. I would say over all it was a good experience. The girls at Skin Vitality in Kitchener are great. Each one is professional. I would like to comment on each one & send out thanks you to all of them.

 

First off thank you Veronica for giving me the courage to go ahead & have Dr. Kara give me back my confidence. I feel like a beautiful woman.

 

Thank you Jennifer for all the talks we had while you worked on me, hope you're at home enjoying & caring for your beautiful children.

 

Thank you Dragana for your gentle hands & your wonderful relaxing manner. You are such a lovely woman & beautiful inside & out. Have a wonderful life & congratulations on your engagement. I would love to be at your wedding. hint hint

 

Thank you Kim for all your gentle & very thorough VelaShape treatments. You are a lovely woman who did your job all while making me feel comfortable.

 

Lastly thank you Cassandra. You are such a ray of sunshine & your personality made me happy just to see you & have the talks that we did while you worked on me. You are both professional & very kind. You are just a little sweetheart & the world is a better place having you in it.

 

I would also like to thank everyone who came out to my reveal party especially David Clemmer who I just adore. He is such an upbeat person & has done so well for himself. He is so much fun to be around & can't wait until he has time to come for dinner & party with us. Thank you David for coming into my life, you too are a big ray of sunshine.

 

Lastly I want to thank all my family who came out & supported me on my big reveal, I too had a great time at my party.

 

Thank you Chris for all your hard work even though I know we got off to a turbulent start. I saw a different side of you during my photo shoot which was a blast with David & my reveal party.

 

Oh by the way I have stopped in at Skin Vitality & seen some of the girls, I was missing them. I am going to get a treat for one of them from the candy factory in St. Jacobs & attach a special note to each one.
