I had my first appointment this morning with Lori Pollock - 9:00 am Wednesday January 26th at the Richmond Hill location. I met with Lori first, who explained the different medical treatments offered at Skin Vitality Medical Clinic and their benefits.

 

Later, I met with two technicians, Michelle and Christine who took medical information, had me sign forms and did trials of the elos FotoFacial RF Pro®, laser hair removal and VelaShape treatments. I felt comfortable through each of the treaments.

 

Lori will call me next with a schedule for my treatments. I'm really looking forward to seeing the results of these treatments.

March 30th

Today's appointment (March 30) was for a Medical Peel (1/2 an hour). Cheryl did the procedure, Fay observed (her job shadow for the day). Both ladies were very pleasant and the treatment was done quickly. The peel itself stung and felt prickly, but Cheryl assured me that this is to be expected. When I left, my skin was slightly redder than before but within a few hours that faded. The end results are that I feel the effects of having all the dead skin cells removed and my face glows.

I returned from Mexico on March 17th and thought that my face might have been too tanned. Cheryl explained that they usually require 3 weeks from direct exposure to the sun, but said that my tan was not very apparent and went ahead with the procedure. No photo was taken.

My main concerns with my face are: I have rather deep frown lines between my eyebrows. The skin on my chin and nose appear redder than the rest of my face and easily burn when exposed to the sun. I have light brown spots all over my face that become more apparent when I am tanned. The skin on my neck is becoming loose, which is consistent with older family members. I am excited about the treatments to see if they will address these issues. Thank you again for this great prize - I am looking forward to seeing the final results.

April 13

 

My April 13th appointment was my second Foto Facial and Skin Tightening treatment. Anna turned up the dial on the Photo Facial and it was a slight bit more painful than the last time, but no pain - no GAIN. I dozed off when Anna did the skin tightening part, which was most enjoyable. And I think the treatments are working!!! I can feel that my skin is tighter, more radiant and fresh looking. Unfortunately left with dark red burns around my collar bone area, which Anna said was normal since there was not a lot of flesh to absorb the laser treatment. I felt a small amount of pain in the collar bone area, it's itchy now - a couple days later.

May 28

 

I had the Fraxel treatment yesterday at the Yorkville location. The treatment required topical anaesthetic which took over an hour to take effect so I had a lovely nap.

 

Fay explained everything - yes, my face is very red, hot and swollen but it isn't sore. As well, my skin feels a little rough at the moment. I'm glad that I had this done on Friday so that I have the weekend at home to recover, I was told it would only be 2 days in anycase so I am not worried at all but more excited. I can't wait to see the results of the treatment and can't wait for the next stage of my transformation. Thank you Skin Vitality for changing my life!

May 28

 

First I want to say a really big THANK YOU to Skin Vitality for the wonderful treatments amounting to $10,000. WOW!! I enjoyed watching the improvements with the various treatments and found that the staff really enjoyed their work, were very courteous and professional.

 

My last treatment was June 15th before my reveal date of June 28th. In total I received 4 Photofacials and Skin Tightening treatments, a medical peel, a fraxel treatment and Soft Lift including Botox and filler. I have been using the skin care two - three times a week and feel that it has been helpful in reducing fine lines and lightening the brown age-spots.

 

My skin definitely looks better - I saw improvements along the way both in texture and tightness. Before my treatments, my skin, which is dry, looked dull and I was beginning to see some hard lines around my eyes and mouth. The treatments definitely worked to minimize them. I was very skeptical about Botox and filler but was happy with the "gentle" results. I've seen the results when it's overdone and really wanted to look natural. Lori listened to my concerns and delivered what she promised, a very natural look. I was especially happy to see the scowl mark between my eyes - gone!!!

 

I definitely received compliments from friends and family. I will continue to take care of my skin and would recommend Skin Vitality to anyone who wants to feel and look their best.
